10 Billion’s Theory of Change: Creating a World That Works for All of Us

“In 100 years, a lot of what we take to be true now will be proved to be wrong. A good question to ask today is ‘What might I be wrong about?’ This is the only worry worth having.”

Vision

Our vision is a world where 10 billion people thrive, not just survive—free from existential threats like war, nuclear conflict, and environmental collapse, with equal access to opportunities, a stable climate, and technology that benefits all of humanity. We believe that by recognizing our shared vision, we can turn these challenges into opportunities for global flourishing in our lifetime.

Mission

Our mission is to unite people worldwide in spreading the message that we already share a common vision for humanity’s future—a world where 10 billion people can thrive. By recognizing this shared vision, we aim to drive collective action to achieve outcomes that contribute to this future.

Core Challenges

We face six defining challenges of our time that we must address to create a world where 10 billion people thrive:

  1. Preventing war
  2. Mitigating climate change
  3. Ending poverty
  4. Ensuring health for all
  5. Guiding technological advancements
  6. Safeguarding freedom and human rights

Strategic Pillars

4. Innovation Incubator

  • Objectives: Mentor solutions that address our critical challenges, fostering innovations that drive us closer to a world where 10 billion can thrive.
  • Metrics: Assess the impact of our Innovation Incubator by
    • the number of projects that turn our shared vision into action,
    • their success in securing funding and achieving impact, and
    • the innovations generated that contribute to a thriving world.

5. Policy Influence

  • Objectives: Engage with decision-makers to advocate for policies aligned with our shared vision and mobilize public support for these changes.
  • Metrics: Measure the effectiveness of our policy influence by
    • the number of policy briefings delivered,
    • the spread of our shared vision through influence on legislation and international agreements, and
    • the engagement and mobilization of public support for policy changes.
